TAY LUC HWA

Luc was a public servant for more than six years and his focus was on advancing the skills and employability of the Singaporean workforce for both MNCs and SMEs. A Minister for Manpower Award winner in 2016, he was recognised for his professionalism and exemplary teamwork displayed for the project SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programme.

Before joining the public service, Luc was an accomplished engineer overseas. He worked dedicatedly for a MNC, Archer Daniels Midland, in China for 5 years on several joint venture projects with Wilmar International. He later consulted for an international pulp and paper company in Indonesia.

He left public service in 2017 to pursue his interest in leadership development with world-renowned executive education non-profit, Center for Creative Leadership (consistently ranked Top 10 in Financial Times for 17 consecutive years). In his short one year tenure with CCL, he demonstrated his strength in sales by meeting and exceeding coaching revenue targets; and converted a handful of new customers from the healthcare, travel and advertising sectors. He is also a HOGAN assessments certified professional.

With Engage & Grow, Luc is looking to grow his influence in leadership development. His ultimate aim is to help organizations develop local leaders and create a more inclusive workplace culture for teams.

Luc was also a passionate trekker who led 8 successful ascents of Mount Ophir and other trekking destinations in Malaysia. “I am always surprised to see leaders emerge naturally from the groups on my treks, the satisfaction of witnessing a human development event is immeasurable!”
